And more opportunities being taken

Further to my blog on opportunities I was interested to see more items on a similar vein yesterday:

  • Cadbury profits as consumers indulge
  • Denby pottery is sold to a MBO team backed by Hilco (a VC specialising in backing turnarounds)
  • 900 new jobs being created in a NI call centre
  • Private equity investors flock to SecondMarket – a new platform for trading illiquid investments

So I would now extend my list of opportunity generating questions as follows:

  • How can we position ourselves as the ‘value’ provider in our sector
  • How can we provide customers with a reassuring small luxury in tough times
  • How can we provide products and services needed by people and companies when they are short of cash
  • How can we build a business based on enabling our customers to save (apparent) costs / risks
  • How can we find the resources to raise our stake / share whilst others are prepared to sell cheaply
  • How can we build a business by supporting / enabling any of the above to happen
